NiveDock does not require an account or send us usage analytics. Anonymous error reports are optional and off by default. The licence key is checked on your PC, not sent to us. This website has no analytics cookies.

The controller of your personal data is Epowoodbros s.r.o., ID no. 23527927, VAT no. CZ23527927, Korunní 2569/108, Vinohrady (Praha 10), 101 00 Praha, Czech Republic. Contact: support@nivedock.com.
This website
The site does not use analytics cookies, tracking pixels, advertising or third-party fonts. Your language choice is stored locally in your browser and is not sent as an account preference.
Our web host may process server logs, including IP address, time and requested page, to deliver and protect the site and count installer downloads. We rely on our legitimate interest in site operation and security; web server logs are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted.
The NiveDock app
NiveDock has no account and does not collect usage data. It never sends a device ID or your licence key. Your settings, profiles and widgets are stored on your PC.
Anonymous error reports are off by default. You can switch them on in the first-run guide or later in Settings › Profiles & Data › Feedback, where you can also see exactly what would be sent before anything leaves your PC.
What the app connects to
The app connects only to the services below, and mostly only when you use the widget that needs them:
- NiveDock data service (data.nivedock.com): for weather, a place name (by default derived from your time zone, or what you type) and language; for crypto, coin IDs; for stocks, symbols and chart range; for search, the text you type. The app sends no GPS location, device ID or licence key. The service uses IP addresses in memory to limit requests; the infrastructure provider may process connection logs. It gets data from MET Norway (weather, CC BY 4.0), OpenStreetMap Nominatim (place lookup), Kraken, Coinbase, Bybit and Yahoo Finance, which see our server rather than your app's request.
- Exchange rates: the European Central Bank (ecb.europa.eu) and, as a backup, the Czech National Bank (cnb.cz). Only a public file is downloaded.
- Album covers and posters (only when the Now Playing widget needs one and the player has none; can be switched off): iTunes (itunes.apple.com) and Wikipedia/Wikidata, with the artist and title or the film name.
- Calendars: the link you add (ICS, Google, Outlook, iCloud), downloaded straight from that server. The link stays on your PC.
- Updates and licences (only with a licence): nivedock.com, to check for a new version shortly after start and then once a day, and, with a paid licence, to fetch the list of revoked licence serial numbers. Nothing is sent except an ordinary HTTPS request (your IP address and the app's user agent are visible to the web server).
- Anonymous error reports (data.nivedock.com, only with your consent): NiveDock and Windows versions and up to 30 new error lines from NiveDock's own log. The reporter is designed to exclude names, email, files, window titles, device IDs and licence keys. An error line may contain the name of an app that NiveDock could not launch. It first checks about 10 minutes after start and then once a day; it sends only if there is something new. You can switch it off at any time in Settings. Reports are stored without a sender ID and removed after 30 days by a daily cleanup.
- Your own services: if you enter your own key for a shop widget, the app calls that service (for example api.paddle.com) directly.
Feedback and support
If you email us or use the in-app feedback form, we process what you provide (name, email, message, up to five images and, only if selected, diagnostic text) to reply and fix the issue. This is necessary to answer your request or based on our legitimate interest in support. The form is stored on our server and may be forwarded to our support mailbox. The copy on our data server is removed after 90 days by a daily cleanup. If a copy is forwarded to our support mailbox, we keep it only as long as needed to answer you and delete it on request. You may request deletion where the law permits.
What is stored on your PC
Settings, profiles, widget data and notes are stored in the app's WebView2 storage under your user profile (%LOCALAPPDATA%). The licence is stored in the registry under HKCU\Software\Epowoodbros\NiveDock. AI-app usage time is stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\NiveDock\ai-time.json and never sent anywhere. Diagnostic events from NiveDock itself (without window titles) are kept in %LOCALAPPDATA%\NiveDock\logs, and error-reports.json holds only your consent choice and the time of the last report. Backups are files you save yourself. Uninstalling removes the app; you can delete these folders to remove the rest.
Payments
Paid checkout is not active on this website. Before paid sales begin, the checkout must identify the actual seller and explain how payment, tax, invoices and consumer rights are handled. If an independent reseller sells the licence, its privacy notice will explain its own payment processing; we will update this notice to describe any order data shared with us.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw consent to anonymous error reports at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact us at the address above. You may complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz) or your local supervisory authority.
